Building Fund
Sunshine Bible Academy is building for the future. Over the past decade, significant campus improvements have expanded SBA’s capacity to serve students. The next chapter is a new girls’ dormitory — and your giving can help make it a reality.
A History of Building in Faith
Each building project at SBA has been made possible by faithful donors who believe in the mission of Christ-centered education. Here is a look at how the campus has grown.
Multi-Purpose Building Completed
A transformative addition to campus featuring a full gymnasium, locker rooms, a concession stand, wrestling room, weight room, music room, practice rooms, and elementary classrooms. This facility dramatically expanded SBA’s athletic and academic capabilities.
New Boys’ Dormitory Occupied
A modern residential facility providing comfortable living spaces for male students. Built to accommodate up to 64 students with three staff apartments, the boys’ dormitory set the standard for the residential experience at SBA and serves as the model for future housing construction.
New Girls’ Dormitory
The next step in SBA’s campus growth is a new girls’ dormitory, connecting to the boys’ dormitory and running east-west across campus. This project will provide modern, comfortable housing for female students and staff.
The girls’ dorm is designed to match the quality and capacity of the boys’ dormitory, which was built to accommodate up to 64 students with three staff apartments. With each phase, SBA moves closer to a unified residential campus.
Construction Phases
The girls’ dormitory project is designed to be completed in phases, allowing construction to begin as funding becomes available and expand as the school grows.
Phase One
A staff apartment, laundry facilities, commons and safe room, mechanical room, and four dorm rooms. This phase will also borrow one apartment and four rooms from the boys’ dormitory, accommodating up to 32 girls from day one.
Future Phase: Kitchen & Commons
A new kitchen, cafeteria, and commons area connecting both dormitories to the multipurpose building. This addition will create a unified campus hub where students gather for meals and community.
Final Phase: Full Dormitory
Complete the girls’ dormitory with additional dorm rooms and staff housing. The final design mirrors the boys’ dormitory, which was built to accommodate up to 64 students with three staff apartments, ensuring equal residential capacity for all SBA students.
Construction Threshold
The SBA school board has set a threshold of $1.2 million before construction can begin on the girls’ dormitory. This responsible approach ensures the project moves forward on a solid financial foundation.
